Their smiles seem carefree, as if untouched by worries. Yet, left-behind children represent a serious issue in China. With parents working in distant cities to make a living, these children remain in rural areas, facing inadequate education and challenging living conditions.

In high school, I volunteered as a teacher, spending three months teaching English to these children. The simplicity of their joy, unshaken by the weight of separation and a future uncertain.
